Shake Your Grove Thang….

Sorry I’m late with this one it’s been a hectic week…

It was great when Sprite’s Keeper said that this weeks spin cycle would be all about music.  My best friend and I are always ribbing each other about our weight and recently she sent me our “new” theme song, at least until we’re skinny. ~grin~

Another reason this spin was great timing is we just had a Mama Mia pj party and I love’s me some ABBA.  I don’t think there’s an ABBA song I don’t like, but here’s two of my favorites, the first one made me cry during the movie, it’s one I plan to play for Meggers later in life.  The second is a classic.  I think Meryl Streep did a great job.

Our wedding song was this one from Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

There are sooo many great songs old and new.  Meggers loves Fergie’s Big Girls Don’t Cry, Colby Caillat’s Bubbly and Leona Lewis’s Keep Bleeding Love.  I tend to like a little bit of everything so I’ll maybe have to revisit this topic later on.  I’ll leave you with this one I play for Meggers at night sometimes, it’s beautiful.

  1. Josh Groban, sigh! Love his voice!
I personally love Meryl Streep’s performance although John doesn’t GET IT. He’s not quite into musicals like I am. Love the movie though! You’re linked!

  2. I love that last song. It was originally sung with Celine Dion and Andrea Boceli. I guess there was some event that Andrea Boceli couldn’t make it and they asked Josh Groban to step in for him. He was just a kid at the time, maybe 17 or 18 and he was SO NERVOUS. Celine didn’t know much about him at the time either so she was a little nervous too. She couldn’t BELIEVE how young he was when he started singing. They guy is good! 🙂

    Such a pretty song.

  3. Wait, you can spin late? I completely forgot to spin and thought I was too late.

I love Tim and Faith, I saw them when they toured here and they were great.

I’m a big fan of Mr. Groban as well. You’re a girl after my own heart.

I should comment more, but a co-worker gave me the flu or something and I hurt everywhere. dang!

  5. OMG-my sister is over and the MotoMoto song cracked us up! My son keeps asking to see it again. All of your love songs are great, but that was my favorite! Great post! 🙂
