Anxiety Study ~ I’m a lab rat!!!!

So those of you that have been reading for a while know that I’ve lived with an anxiety/panic disorder for the last decade.  Well, a couple of months back I was reading  Steph’s blog over at The Panic Room  and was excited to read that their was a free anxiety study going on.  So after getting the info I decided to give it a try.  I took the online tests to qualify, passed with flying colors,  and was told that my book was on it’s way.  Yipee!

Well,  the book arrived Friday!

  So here it is…..

So now I’m supposed to read a chapter daily, do the exercises and then give them feedback.   I’ve decided to post about it weekly to keep track of my progress or lack there of.  Wish me luck!

In the United States alone, 40 million adults age 18 and older (18.1% of U.S. population) live with an anxiety disorder.  Anxiety is very real and challenging.  Lots of people go undiagnosed because of the stigma that is attached with mental health.  If you suffer from anxiety it does not mean you aren’t smart or that you’re crazy!   Did you know that there’s a long list of accomplished celebrities that live with anxiety and/or have suffered panic attacks?

  1. Hey a free book! I’m so pleased that you’re going to try the study. I get bored so quickly with reading and confess that I gave up, but now I know you’re getting involved I might just have to pick it up again and make a commitment to giving it my best shot. If you want to compare notes email me anytime because a I could do with a little moral support too! I’ll be reading your posts anyhow.

    Excellent! 🙂 XX

    1. I don’t know how I ended up here, but I did. I’ve studied agoraphobia for over 20 years, after developing it at the age of 24. I went for therapy back then (no meds) and I beat it, and was agoraphobic-free for 20 years.
Five years ago, I relapsed into it. Long story short, I beat it again without any outside help and I did it through praying.

I ended up writing my own book about it in the hope that anyone suffering will read it.

Anxiety disorder can be cured, but it has to come from a place in your mind of belief. Quite a few people have read my book and have written me that my book put them on the correct path to clearing them of the disorder.

Anyway, I hope you are doing well with it. If you should have any questions, please email me. There isn’t anything I don’t know about anxiety disorder.
