Keely is back and just in time for RTT! So, go visit her and see if you can coax her out of the bathroom, apparently she’s been in the fetal position since she returned. Seems all her guest posters had a party while she was gone and left quite a naked mess, not to mention the dog sitter riffled through her medicine cabinet. Glad you’re back Keely!! Anyway let’s jump right into RTT shall we…
Meg’s birthday was awesome and she had a great time, but I’m so glad it’s over and done with, till next year of course. I can’t believe she’s 7 already!!! Does anyone else feel like their life went into hyper speed after they had kids? You blink and 7 years fly by! It’s like someone has the remote for your life and is fast forwarding through the commercials. Hey! Slow down you channel surfing fool, I’d like to savor my life a little.
Speaking of time travel, has anyone seen The Time Traveler’s Wife yet? Was it good? I think I’m gonna go see it this week?! I read the book a while back and loved it.
I’m still looking for some good reading recommendations so if you have any suggestions let have it… What was a page turner for you? What couldn’t you put down?
I wanna know who else has a problem going in a public restroom? Do you get nervous knowing someone is sitting in the stall next to you and listening as you do your business? Do you ever flush and try to get everything out before the flush is over? I have to admit I still get a case of the giggles when someone sits down and lets one rip unintentionally. I mean there’s always the old biddy that goes in, like a pro, not caring that people are listening as the bran and Metamucil shake she had that morning takes effect. However, there are those that you know didn’t mean to let it go, because they spend way to much time in the stall, waiting for all the people that heard them to leave, before they unveil their identity.
Oooo Gloria Gaynor just came on the radio… ~Does her best Cher hair flick and grabs a pencil~ “Oooooo now go… walk out the door… just turn around now… ’cause your not welcome anymore.” WAIT… no, I didn’t mean you! I was just getting my grove on here at work.
Huh! I just realized this is my first RTT that is actually a RTT. How ’bout them apples?
What ever happened to the gratuitous candy dish at work, you know the one you’d try to avoid when dieting by going 3 cubicles out of the way to get back to your desk. Now I have to pay for a couple M and M’s? Seriously? Is the economy that bad that we have to lock our chocolate up in a gum ball machine that charges me a penny (which turns into a dime when I can’t find a penny) every time I want a chocolate fix? WTF?
Alright I’m all out of random so I’m gonna go back to Jammin’ to the oldies at work! “Woah oh here she’s comes watch out boys she’ll chew you up… Woah oh here she come’s she’s a man eater…. ” You still here? Go on… geez do I have to do everything? Click HERE for more randomness.
I am just stopping by, saw you at the Un-Mom for RTT. Since I am new to your blog I’m not sure how much help I’ll be with books but I just got done with the Twilight series. I am almost 32 and LOVED all four books! More than any before! Also I recommend “Escape” by Carolyn Jessop (about Polygamy). “The Last Victim” by Jason Moss (about John Wayne Gacy). “Rumspringa” by Tom Shachtman (about Amish). “The Silent Partner” by Dina Matos McGreevey (ex-wife of a Governor I believe..he is gay).
It’s hard for me to find a good book…hope these help.

I hate public bathrooms and I always do the “courtesy flush” while I’m going. I also hate the super strength water powered ones that splash 3′ and hit my ass as I’m hovering.

Books- Have you read the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon? Every one a page turner (and a new one out in Sept).
Relax, woman, the candy dish is out on my desk. Actually, a jar full of M&Ms. Come on over. No charge. Our office try to “outlaw” them, but some of us put up a protest. I don’t care if you’re tempted. I need my fix, and others should be able to share if they want to…

I’ll be back to comment a little more later. I’m at work and will be on my way home soon. I just wanted to let you know I haven’t forgotten about your b log. I tried to ad your feed to my reader, but it wouldn’t work so I’m missing out on your posts. I’m going to add you to my blog roll so I can actually remember how to find you again…not that your address is too hard to remember now! 🙂

I think you’d like Tony Parsons — he has such a knack with words! Have a couple of his books and will loan you them if you’d like.

I think one of the only things I miss about having a day job, was my M&M candy jar.
My oldest is 14 and I always have that feeling of my life just whizzing past…especially since in my mind I’m still a lean and laugh-line-free 19.
One of my favorite books is “The Poisonwood Bible”, I could read it over and over again. I also read “The Things They Carried” this summer and really enjoyed it.

I noticed once the economy headed south, the bank stopped giving out lollipops to kiddos. Crazy!

I only care about sounds in a restroom in my office. Having to know my coworker may have an intestinal problem is not condusive to my controlling the laughter when I see her coming. 🙂

I get nervous when I have to really really go and I know it’s going to sound like a dam just broke once I’m in.
Oh! and if I get in and there is not a pretty odor, I cannot look at the instigator/co-worker in the face for the next few hours.
